Through art there is a mind-body connection. The art of pottery is oftentimes described as therapeutic and relaxing.
While working with clay, your mind, and body are in natural synergy, wrapped around your creative ambitions and goals. This thoughtful, artistic activity can open up the mind and relieve you of outside worries. Pain caused by stress may be alleviated while taking part in pottery.
The movement of making pottery is gentle yet strengthening to the hands, wrists, and arms as it promotes joint movement and dexterity.
In a relaxed state with focus on the expression rather than on the physical movement itself, motion often becomes fluid.
Art making increases the bilateral activity in the brain.
Join us in this fun activity with a purpose.
Cost is a special RSB price of $10*
*ALL proceeds go directly to Jane's Art Center to cover supplies.
